Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving those great science suggestions. I’ll be sure to check them out.
Sounds as if you are having a great time with numbers. I remember Sir Cumference and a trip to the local pizza joint with protractors in hand. Good times!
Our kids love the “Circumference” books, too! Well, especially Jonah… Bode is still working on sitting down for the duration of a Berenstain Bears book.
We tend to do a lot of math while cooking… working on measures, etc.
I love to read posts about games! We play board games every day here to reinforce a ton of different skills. Lately, we’ve been playing a lot of Mythmatical Battles to reinforce multiplication facts for my oldest. But we play all kinds of games, and most of them have some mathematical element.
We like those math books at my house to! And board games are wonderful for teaching math. I found a fun book recently for elementary ages called Math in the Garden…loving it.
Thanks for the homeschooling ideas. We just started this year (today, officially) homeschooling our 2nd grader, and it is a teensy bit overwhelming. I’ll check out your math ideas. It’s good to see what others are doing.
