What a great day for the family. I just love going to fairs as there is always something for everyone to enjoy. How proud you must be of your daughter's interest in your spinning and her readiness to share about it with others.

There is nothing better than a fair! Although in my family we must hit the cattle barns first. (Grampa was a dairy farmer, and Dad has a hobby beef herd.)

Your post brought back memories. I had sunbonnets as a child, and I loved them! As a teen I wore them as part of my summer job at a historic site.

I used to show rabbits, and spent several summers parked out back of the rabbit barn in the MO state fair, living in a trailer. SOooooo much fun! I was also in 4-H and had many things displayed at the state fair. One year I even did a spinning demo there with my wheel and some angora.

Thank you for the wonderful post....and the trip down memory lane!

Oh....and isn't it wonderful to have kids who know how things are made and appreciate them!
