There’s a really good chance we’ll end up living next to a friend of mine who spins! I’ve wanted to learn for years and DS is most interested in learning, too. She keeps angora rabbits in her back yard (used to have alpaca until someone turned her in to the city ) and brushes them out until she has enough down to spin. I’m sooo hopeful!
Your yarn is incredible!!
I have a spinning wheel and I seem to be having a bit more fun lately with the wool roving itself! Needle felting, wet felting… ; ) Great job!!
That is gorgeous spinning! Do you have any suggestions for books or online tutorials to help a beginner?
Thanks for the comment, Laura! I learned from a local Fiber Arts group – they even loaned me a spindle and fiber until I some of my own.
there are lots of great you-tube tutorials -

Knitty is also trying to get its stuff together with Knittyspin – I hope they expand the content soon – http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer09/KScontentindex.php

Your yarn looks wonderfully cozy! In fact, pictures like these make one wish you could touch something through the computer.
